To Eros, strategus of the division of Themistes, from Sambas, son of Soterichus, belonging to the tenants of Theadelphia in the same division. I and my brother, Nepheraus, cultivate in the same village a lot of 5 ar. which our deceased father, Soterichus, leased from Apollonius, son of Ptolemaeus. Having paid in full the rental of the lot which was transferred to us by lease for the current 11th year of the Emperor Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, we were induced to give up the tenancy of the lot on the discharge of the terms of the lease. Wherefore, I request that a copy of this statement, filed with you, be given through your servant to Thrakis, the brother of Apollonius, since the latter is dead.
