- APIS-papyrus the physical papyrus
- DDbDP-text the edited text
- HGV-meta date and findspot
The thing no single project can do: 28,363 records where one Trismegistos-Text ID stitches the same ancient text across two or more independent databases. Papyrology splits a text's description by design, so its edition (DDbDP), its date and findspot (HGV), and the collection's record of the physical papyrus (APIS) each hold a different part. Here they are recognised as one thing.
Each of these exists in three separate databases, and no one of them holds the whole picture. Read across and the text, its date and where it was dug up arrive together.
Spotted an error, a mis-mapped findspot, or have a suggestion? We read every note.
