Description

Copy of a cession of land from Ptolemais Euergetis (Arsinoe), Egypt, written on papyrus. Copy of a cession of 40 arouras (a measure) of land from Philoxena, whose guardian is the son of her deceased brother Maron, to her sister(?) Eudaimonis. Eudaimonis will also receive the rents of the current year and take over the responsibility for the 1.25 aroura of public land assigned to the property. The neighbors of the property are: to the south another plot of land and property formerly owned by Maecenas and Pollio; to the east the olive orchard of the children of Euandros and the canal that runs through it; to the west the plot formerly owned by someone whose name ends in "ottios" that is now the olive orchard of Alkimos son of Alkimos
