Description

Extended list of land from Panopolis (modern name: Akhmim), Egypt, written on papyrus. Land is presumably owned by the family of Ammon, the well-known scholastikos, or lawyer. The holdings are in the various divisions of the Panopolite Nome and are often quite small. Many numbered plots occur. Lists tenants with some of the holdings. Papyrus belongs to archive of Ammon. Recto has a private letter in Greek (P.Duk.inv. 177 R)
