Account of payments in kind [2nd cent. B.C.]
Description
Account of payments in kind (wheat) and in money from the Arsinoite Nome (modern name: Fayyum), Egypt, written on papyrus. Gives a total as well as remaining dues. The monetary entries seem to be converted to wheat at a rate of 20 drachmas to an artab, a measure of wheat. The fist line provides a title. Recto has a register of rents and taxes in kind (P.Duk.inv. 1333 R) To the right of this text are another account of payments (P.Duk.inv. 1333 V (b)) and an account of payments in kind (P.Duk.inv. 1333 V (c))
