Description

List of land and rents from the Arsinoite Nome (modern name: Fayyum), Egypt, written on papyrus. Lists rents charged on land and is arranged alphabetically by tenants of state and temple land. Some land is used for growing wheat, fodder (as a crop) and sesame. Most rents are paid in kind, but some are paid in money. This section covers mu to pi. One entry is for Mestasytmis son of Horos, Onnophris and their associates. Verso has an account of rents and taxes in kind in Greek (P.Duk.inv. 1321 V)
