Recto contains five receipts forsyntaximon paid by three individuals: a. A shepherd, son of Mysthas and Aplonia from late in the reign of Nero; b. an unskilled laborer, Herakles, son of Pasion, grandson of Herakles, with a mother Thaesis, daughter of Nepheros, from year 13 of of Nero (= 66/67 A.D.). Nos. 4 and 5 (=col. I, lines 10-16; 17-20), dated to two different years early in the reign of Vespasian (line 10, note ad loc.); c. a workman, (no. 3 = col. III, lines 31-43); the receipt is for year 2 of Galba (= 68/69 A.D.).; he first column of the verso contains two receipts for beer tax (nos. 6 and 7). Second column begins with an additional receipt for beer tax (no. 9). The last receipt in the second column is also severely damaged (no. 10 = ll. 60-64), yet it too may be a receipt for beer tax.
