This small piece of papyrus preserves the lower portion of a column of daily expenditures for agricultural operations. The number of workmen involved in each task is recorded in the left side of the column, and on the right side of the column are recorded the wages paid to each worker. The tasks mentioned in the lines which survive, are cleaning, digging, and pruning, all performed in connection with vineyards.
