Δωρίων οὐ δεδυνημένοι σοὶ συμπεσεῖν διὰ τὸν περιέχοντά σε στόμφον καὶ φόβον, ἃ καὶ ἀπʼ ἀρχῆς ηὐχόμηνεὐχόμην πᾶσι τοῖς θεοῖς ἐπὶ τὰ μείζονά σε προβῆναι, προῆγμαι διʼ ἀναφορᾶς σοι προσ ανενέγκαι, ἵνʼ, ἐὰν φαίνηται, συντάξηις γράψαι Πτολεμαίωι τῶι γραμματεῖ τῶν γεωργῶν λαβεῖν παρʼ ἐμοῦ ἀντὶ πυροῦ κριθῆς ἀρτάβας κε διὰ τὴν περιέχουσάν με ἐν τῶι ἔτει θλῖψιν. τοῦτο δὲ ποιήσαςποήσας ἔσηι κεχαρισμένος θεοῖς τε καὶ ἀνθρώποις.
