ων κληρ τῆς συµπεφωνηµένης καὶ συναρεσάσης ἡµῖν ἀµφοτέροις τιµῆς χρυσοῦ νομισματίουνοµισµάτιον ἑνὸςἓν καὶ κερατίωνκεράτια ὀκτώ, γίνονται χρυσοῦ νοµισµάτιον α καὶ κεράτια η µόνα, ἥνπερ τιµὴν τελείαν αὐτόθι ἀπεσχήκαµεν παρὰ σοῦ ἐκ πλήρους καὶ ἀνυπερθέτως, πρὸς τὸ σὲ ἐπικρατεῖν καὶ κυριεύειν καὶ δεσπόζειν καὶ οἰκοδοµεῖν καὶ καὶ πάντα πράττειν περὶ αὐτῶν καὶ μηδενὸςµηθενὸς ἀντιλέγοντος ἢ ἀντι ποιουµένου ἢ οι ἐγκαλεῖνἐνκαλεῖν ἢ ἐγκαλέσεινἐγκαλέσαι σοι περὶ τῆς ὠνῆς ταύτης τῶν τεσσάρων µερῶν πτηχ, τὸν δὲ ἀντιλέξοντα ἢ ἀντιποιοῦντα ἢ καὶ ἐγκαλέσοντά σοι περὶ τῆς ὠνῆς ταύτης παρασχεῖν ὑπὲρ καταδίκης χειν τοῖς ἐγγεγραµµένοις. καὶ ἡ δὲ ὠνὴ αὕτη κυρία καὶ βεβαία ὡς πρόκειται καὶ ἐπερωτηθέντεςἐπερωτηθεὶς ὡμολογήσαμενὡµολόγησα. Ἰωάννης ἀναχωρητὴς καὶ c. 15ς καὶ Αὐρηλία Θάτρης γαµετὴ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ ἡµῶν ἐθέµεθα τὴν ὠνὴν ταύτην τῶν τεσσάρων µερῶν πτηχ καὶ ἀπεσχήκαµεν τὴν τελείαν τιµὴν καὶ στοιχεῖ ὡς πρόκειται. As for the portion of the agreed and mutually satisfactory price of one gold coin and eight keratia, which amounts to one gold coin and eight keratia alone, we have received the full and irrevocable payment from you, for you to prevail, rule, and possess, to build and to perform all actions concerning them without anyone opposing, hindering, or accusing you regarding this purchase of the four parts of land. And anyone who opposes, hinders, or accuses you regarding this sale is to be penalized according to the registered stipulations. And this sale is valid and firm as it stands, and upon being questioned, we have agreed. I, Ioannis the recluse and [name] the wife of our brother, have made this purchase of the four parts of land and received the full and legitimate price, and it holds as stated. Aurelius Ioseph of Samuel, secretary of the Memnonites, wrote these letters on their behalf, who were not literate.
