Αὐρηλίῳ Διδύμῳ στρατηγῷ Ἀρσινοίτου Ἡρακλείδου μερίδος παρὰ Αὐρηλίου Στοτοήτεως Ἐριέως ἀπὸ κώμης Σοκνοπαίου Νήσου. ἀπὸ τῆς τρίτης τοῦ ὄν τος μηνὸς Φαῶφι βοῦς ἐμοῦ νεμομένη ἐν τῷ αἰγιαλῷ, ὁ δὲ βούκολός μου ἀναστὰς ἕω θεν εὗρεν αὐτὴν πεφονευ μένην ὑπὸ τίνος ἀγνοῶ. ὅθεν ἐπιδίδωμι τάδε τὰ βιβλίδια καὶ ἀξιῶ ἐν καταχωρισμῷ γε νέσθαι πρὸς τὸ μένεινμένιν μοι τὸν λόγον πρὸς τοὺς φανησομένους αἰτίους. διευτύχει. ἔτους β Αὐτοκράτορος Καίσαρος Μάρκου Αὐρηλίου Σεουήρου Ἀλεξάνδρου Εὐσεβοῦς Εὐτυχοῦς Σεβαστοῦ ΦαῶφιΦαρμοῦθι ι.Translations (1)
To Aurelius Didymus, strategos of the Arsinoite, Heracleides division, from Aurelius Stotoeteus, Erieus, from the village of Soknopaiou Nesos. On the third of the current month of Phaophi, my ox grazing on the shore was found by my herdsman, upon his rising at dawn, dead, killed by someone unknown. Therefore, I submit these documents and request that they be entered into the record so that the matter may remain in consideration against those who may be revealed as responsible. Farewell.
