Account of tax collections in barley
Description
This document is written on the back of the blank part of 3, probably in the same hand, although the script is larger and written with a blunter pen. The text, which occupies only the left half of the sheet, is a brief account of tax payments in barley in the Ptolemais sector of Karanis' territory (on which cf. PCair Isid 47, 17n.). If, as seems probable from its position, the figure in line 12 is the total of the column, the individual amounts (which abrasion has rendered mostly illegible) were small.
