Customs receipt
Description
This small square of light yellow, thick papyrus contains a receipt for the familiar customs dues of 1/100 and 1/50 which were levied on produce entering or leaving a town. The hand is a rather large, coarse scrawl of the early 2nd century: the 17th year is probably that of Trajan.
