Description
Bei dieser kleinen Tierfigur aus Fayence ist es nicht auszuschließen, dass sie als Grabbeigabe diente, die dem Toten die bildlichen Darstellungen in den Kultkammer ersetzen sollten. Dargestellt ist hier ein kleines liegendes Nilpferd. Der Körper des Nilpferds weist eine schwarze Bemalung auf. Auffallend ist in dieser Hinsicht der festgelegte Typenschatz der Kleinfiguren: Nilpferde, Igel, Hasen, Mäuse, Affen, Kälbchen und Hunde.
