Auf diesem Papyrus hat sich in hebräischer Sprache und Schrift ein langer Auszug aus dem 2. Buch Mose (Schemot/ Exodus) erhalten. Es stellt das zweite Buch der beiden Fassungen des biblischen Kanons dar. Ob das Buch einst komplett auf dem Papyrus notiert gewesen war, lässt sich nicht mehr feststellen.Das Stück wurde 1877 durch Vermittlung des deutschen Konsuls in Kairo, Gustav Travers, für Berlin erworben.J.
