Description

Der Absender des Briefes möchte vom Adressaten über einen verkauften Ochsen (ṯawr) informiert werden. Zu diesem Zweck soll der Adressat zum Kloster kommen ( . ( فأحب منك أن تطلع إلى الدیر). Gemeint könnte das im Fayyūm gelegene Kloster Naqlūn sein. Des Weiteren wird noch der Mönch (ar-rāhib) Basīla erwähnt. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich die linke Hälfte eines Briefes, der vielleicht einen offiziellen Charakter hat. A. Kamal, S. Metz
