Dies ist ein Brief, der in das 7.-9. Jahrhundert nach Christus datiert werden kann. Er ist in arabischer Sprache verfasst, jedoch in hebräischer Quadratschrift niedergeschrieben. Dies ist ein interessantes Zeugnis der hebräo-arabischen Literatur der Zeit. Der Brief wurde im Fayum verfasst und 1905 von Otto Rubensohn bei seinen Ausgrabungen in Hermupolis Magna in Mittelägypten, also dem Zielort, gefunden und kam im Rahmen der offiziellen Fundteilung nach Berlin.V.
