Description

Nach Einzug der Araber in Ägypten im Jahre 641 nach Christus setzte sich allmählich der Gebrauch der arabischen Sprache und Schrift im Lande durch. Die arabische Schreibschrift wurde insbesondere für den Koran verwendet, der ein kalligraphisches Meisterwerk darstellt. Diese Leinwand ist mit zwei Koran-Zeilen in blauer Zierkufi-Schrift bestickt.
