Es wird angenommen, dass dieses Stück aus dem Gründungsdepot eines Tempels stammt. Das konnte bisher nicht bestätigt werden, denn das Siegel wurde auf dem Antikenmarkt in Luxor erworben. Eine alternative Interpretation geht von einer Benutzung als Ziegelstempel aus. Die Kartusche des Königs Thutmosis I. datiert das Stück in die 18. Dynastie. (R. Kuhn)
