Description

Papyrus war ein sehr beliebtes jedoch teures Schreibmaterial im Alten Ägypten. Dieser Papyrus stammt von der Nilinsel Elephantine in Ägypten und wurde während der Ausgrabungen der damals Königlichen Museen durch Otto Rubensohn und Friedrich Zucker zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts ausgegraben. Die hier verwendete Schrift ist das sogenannte Hieratische. Dabei handelt es sich um eine verkürzte Kursivschrift der altägyptischedn Hieroglyphen.
