Zur Verzierung von Architekturelementen wie Architrave, Kioske und Hausfassaden dienten Applikationen aus verschiedenen Materialien. Schmückende, knaufartige Griffe aus Fayence wurden vermutlich an verschiedenartigen Behältnissen angebracht. Nach: Taschner, L., in: F.
