Description

Figürliche Schutzamulette waren zu allen Zeiten ein wichtiger Bestandteil persönlicher Frömmigkeit. Der Skarabäus war wegen seiner universellen Einsetzbarkeit als Schmuckelement besonders beliebt. Der Skarabäus (ÄM 28854) war der Länge nach durchbohrt. Erhalten ist aber nur die in der Ebene des Bohrkanals waagerecht abgespaltete Oberfläche mit dem plastisch geformten Skarabäus. Möglicherweise wurde er auf eine Halskette aufgezogen oder als Ringzier hergestellt. Nach: Rattmann, A., in: F.
