Description

Der bärtige Gott mit hoher Federkrone verkörpert den Bes. Dieser wurde zum Schutz vor den nächtlichen Dämonen, insbesondere für Frauen während der Schwangerschaft und Geburt sowie für die Neugeborenen angerufen. Bei dem Stück handelt es sich um ein Amulett, das entsprechend an einer Ösen befestigt werden konnte und somit dem Schutz der Lebenden oder Verstorbenen diente. (J. Helmbold-Doyé)
