Description
Das Relief ist Teil der Grabkapelle der Gottesgemahlin des Amun, Schepenupet II. Sie war zu ihren Lebzeiten mit dem Gott Amun vermählt und zugleich eine der mächtigsten Personen im Gebiet von Theben. Wegen ihrer besonderen Stellung konnte sie ihr Grab in einem Tempelkomplex errichten und somit von den periodisch wiederkehrenden Prozessionen profitieren. Auf dem Block ist der androgyne Gott Hapi kniend abgebildet, der vor sich Opfergaben hält. Er ist die göttliche Erscheinungsform der Nilflut. (J. Helmbold-Doyé)
