Description
Der verstorbene Erdenkönig Sethos I. steht in Amtstracht mit Königskopftuch und Diadem vor Osiris, dem in weißen Mumienbinden gehüllten Herrscher der Unterwelt. Osiris trägt Krummstab und Geißel als Insignien seiner Macht in den Händen. Ein Kopftuch, wie es von den Pharaonen getragen wird, legitimiert ihn als König. Die Verbindung zur Unterwelt stellt die auf dem Kopftuch befindliche charakteristische Osiris-Krone her. In der Inschrift über der Szene wird bestätigt, dass der gerechtfertigte und zu Osiris gewordenen König, der Sohn des Re mit Namen Sethos I., vor Osiris, dem Herrn der Unterwelt (Nekropole), eingetroffen ist.
