Description
Frühe Belege der ägyptischen Schrift finden sich auf Rollsiegeln. Auf ihnen erscheinen in der Regel Namen von Privatpersonen in Verbindung mit göttlichen Kreaturen – wie auf dem hier gezeigten Exemplar zu sehen. Obwohl die Inschrift nicht in Gänze verständlich ist, lässt sich wenigstens ein Bestandteil des Namens identifizieren, der eine Standarte mit den gekreuzten Pfeilen zeigt: Hierbei handelt es sich um einen frühen Beleg für die Göttin Neith.
