Description
Seit dem Neolithikum findet neben dem geschlagenen auch das geschliffene Steinbeil Verwendung. Als All-round-Werkzeug z.B. für die Holzbearbeitung wurde es im alltäglichen Leben geschätzt. Sie wurden teils ungeschäftet auch in Gräbern von Männern deponiert und fungieren hier wohl als Statusobjekte. (Robert Kuhn)
