Description
Das mehrfarbige Fragment zeigt den Kopf einer Nubierin mit der „Fuzzi-wuzzi“ Frisur, dem sich zu beiden Seiten Meerkatzen mit einem gepunkteten Fell gegen den Kopf lehnen. Ergänzt werden kann die Statuette zu einer stehenden Frau, die ein kleines Kind im Arm hält. Infolge der Öse im Nacken handelt es sich um ein Amulett, dem eine unheilabwehrende Funktion gegenüber Mutter und Kind zugeschrieben werden kann. (J. Helmbold-Doyé)
