Description
Das Relief zeigt den nach rechts gewandten Kopf des Pharao Echnaton im Stil der frühen Jahre der so genannten “Amarna-Zeit”. Zu dieser neuen, expressiven, fast karikaturhaft wirkenden Darstellungsweise, gehören der überlange, konvex gekrümmte Hals, die vollen Lippen und das nach unten gezogene Kinn sowie das schmale Auge. Das Ohrläppchen ist durchbohrt wiedergegeben. Hals und Nasolabialfalten sind mit Ritzlinien eingekerbt. Die Form der Königskrone kann nicht bestimmt werden. F. Seyfried
