Kette bestehend aus Scheibenperlen und verschiedenen Amuletten (Necklace made of pearls and amulets)
Description
Diese modern gefädelte Kette zeigt ein ganzes Sammelsurium an Amuletten kombiniert mit Scheiben- sowie einer Schichtaugenperle. Tjt-Schleife, Djed-Pfeiler, Sa-Knoten, Papyrussäule (?), Granatäpfel, Winkel sowie weitere florale und amorphe Formen spiegeln die Amulettvielfalt der Ägypter wieder. Gerade aufgrund der Fülle an Granatäpfeln, die erst in der 18. Dynastie von Thutmosis III. aus Asien (?) eingeführt wurden, ergibt sich ein terminus post quem. Derlei Ketten wurden sowohl in Gräbern als auch in Siedlungen gefunden. Sie sollten ihre Träger durch die verschiedenen Amulette vor Unheil bewahren. (J. Jancziak)
