Description

Die Funktionen ägyptischer und unserer heutigen Pinzetten sind die selben, weshalb es nicht verwunderlich ist, dass sie auch in Wohnhäusern zum Interieur zählten. So dienten sie in der Kosmetik zum Auszupfen einzelner Härchen, wie z. B. der Augenbrauen, oder in der Medizin zum Entfernen von Splittern. Pinzetten sind bereits seit der Frühzeit und durch die gesamte ägyptische Geschichte hindurch belegt und treten in Bronze und Kupfer auf. (J. Jancziak)
