Description

Gewichte hatten im Alten Ägypten in vielen Fällen eine rechteckige Form. Sie waren aus Metall oder Stein gefertigt und meist undekoriert. Manchmal waren sie jedoch mit ihren jeweiligen Gewichtseinheiten beschriftet und konnten neben ihrer Masse auch noch mit dem Namen ihrer Besitzer versehen sein und somit für exklusive persönliche Zwecke verwendet werden.
