Description
Der Reif stammt aus dem sogenannten Friedhof N aus dem unternubischen Aniba – ein Ort, der heute durch den Nasser-Stausee überflutet ist. In der einfachen Grabgrube war ein Individuum beigesetzt, dessen Alter und Geschlecht unbekannt sind. Die Hockerstellung des Skelettes sowie die Beigaben verweisen auf ein Mitglied der sogenannten nubischen C-Gruppe. Als Schmuck trug der Verstorbene diesen Reif zusammen mit einem weiteren an seinem rechten Unterarm. (J. Helmbold-Doyé)
