Description

Die Sonnenuhr wurde mit dem senkrecht auftragenden Teil von Morgen bis Mittag nach Osten eingestellt und dann genau entsprechend nach Westen gedreht. Wichtig für das einwandfreie Funktionieren der Uhr war ihre genaue Einrichtung und Waagrechtstellung. Zu letzterem Zweck hatte der auftragende Schenkel eine Lotschnur aufzunehmen. Eine Seite der Uhr trägt die Titulatur und den Namen von König Thutmosis III.
