Description

Das Flusspferd spielt in der frühägyptischen Kunst als ein besonders gefährliches und gefürchtetes Tier eine große Rolle. Thematisiert wird daher das Töten des Tieres durch den König, was auch in die Rituale Eingang gefunden hat. Zudem finden sich kleine Figurinen aus Ton oder Stein in den Gräbern. (Robert Kuhn)
