The worthy one at Apis-Osiris, the only friend, commander of the army, Ahmose, son of Pajuenhor, whom Takapenachbet bore; he says in his position as a bow-bearer and commander of the strong army, when this god, after the performance of all rites for him in the embalming places, goes to the Beautiful West in peace, the following, so that this god may reach his place in the necropolis: I am a servant who has acted for your Ka. Daily I keep the night awake. I cannot sleep because I seek all your spells. Into the heart of every man and the foreigner from all foreign lands who are in Egypt, I instilled (literally: gave) your fear, after I acted in your embalming places. Because I made all the mayors of the cities and districts come to your embalming place with their gifts, I sent messengers to Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. Previously, the divine fathers and priests of the Ptah temple said: Oh Apis-Osiris! May you listen to the praise of him who has performed your spells, the commander of the army Ahmose. Around you a lament resounded. With white gold, gold, linen of the king, ointment, all splendid gemstones and beautiful things he came himself. May you reward him according to what he has done for you. May you let his years of life endure and his name last forever. This stele should remain in the necropolis so that his name may be remembered forever.
