... [to the] divine father and scribe of the temple of (the god) 'the one of the camp' Hor-pa-en-Aset: In life, health, and well-being, in the favor of Amun, your perfect lord, that he may grant you life, health, and well-being, as well as a long lifespan and a noble and perfect old age, along with many and numerous favors before the gods and men, as long as you live in health and well-being ... truly every day. The divine worshiper of Amun, my lady Hor-iwi-tawi has sent out this catcher of migratory birds. He has been sent downstream, to where you are - after the catchers of migratory birds. When he arrives with you, you shall assign them (the bird catchers) to him and prevent him from leaving. Give him a man, who should be chosen only from suitable men, (those) who have already been with him before. And you shall let him depart by sending him off ...., and he truly hurries and prevent him from waiting. For behold, I have already sent him (?) in the 2nd month of the Peret season on the 15th day, to bring him to you. Note the time of his departure, which you set, to send him south. [an den] Gottesvater und Schreiber des Tempels von (dem Gott) 'der des Lagers' Hor-pa-en-Aset: In Leben-Heil-und-Gesundheit, in der Gunst des Amun, deines vollkommenen Herrn, daß er dir Leben-Heil-und-Gesundheit geben möge sowie eine lange Lebenszeit und ein erhabenes und vollkommenes Alter sowie viele und zahlreiche Gunsterweise vor den Göttern und Menschen, indem du lebst-heil-und-gesund bist ... wirklich jeden Tag. Die Gottesverehrerin des Amun, meine Herrin Hor-iwi-tawi hat diesen Fänger der Zugvögel ausgesendet. Man hat ihn stromab ausgesandt, dorthin, wo du bist - den Fängern der Zugvögel hinterher. Wenn er bei dir ankommt, dann sollst du sie (die Vogelfänger) ihm zuweisen und verhindere, daß er weggeht. Gib ihm einen Mann, der nur unter geeigneten Männern ausgewählt werden soll, (solchen) die vorher schon bei ihm gewesen sind. Und du sollst ihn abreisen lassen, indem du ihn aussendest ...., und er wirklich eilt und verhindere daß er wartet. Denn siehe, ich habe ihn (bereits?) im 2 Monat der Peret-Zeit am 15 Tag ausgesandt, um ihn zu dir kommen zu lassen. Beachte den Zeitpunkt seiner Abreise, welche du festsetzt, um ihn nach Süden zu schicken. Und du sollst es als Geschriebens in deinem Brief aufsetzen, den du dann bringen läßt. ...
