An Athenodoros, den Verwalter des [- - -] ἐπὶ τῶν προϲόδων Asklepiades von [N.N.], dem Sohn des Herakleios, derer aus [- - -] Herakleopolites. Im [xy. Jahr des Caesar(?)] pachtete ich [durch Kraterion,] den [früheren(?)] Vorsteher der prosodos, in der Flur des Dorfes Pemate[- - -] aus dem Land des Asklepiades 15 Ar. Weizenland. Als ich aber diese bemaß, stellte ich fest, daß es neun anstatt der im Pachtvertrag genannten fünfzehn Ar. waren, für die ich auch gezwungen war, demselben Kraterion den Pachtzins des 18. Jahres des Caesar zu zahlen – abgesehen von den sieben Art. Weizen, die der Steuereintreiber von mir erhoben hat. Und im laufenden 19. Jahr des Caesar erhob er (?) Anspruch auf [- - -]. ... from the grain-producing plots of land, 15 aruras, belonging to Asklepiades. Having measured them I found them to be nine aruras instead of the fifteen aruras indicated in the rental contract, for which I have been subject to pay rental fees to the same Kraterion in the 18th year of Caesar. Apart from these, -doros delivered fifteen artabs of wheat in the 19th year of Caesar … I beseech you, if it please you, master (?), to … to me the wrath of god upon me for the 9 aruras – which if you are a god, may decide, in order that I may be succoured.
