Ἰσχυρίωνι τῶι φιλτάτῳ χαίρειν καὶ διὰ παντὸς ὑγιαίνειν· γενόμενος ἐν Ἡρακλέους πόλει τῇ ϛ ἐδεξάμην παράπερά τινος τῶν σῶν επιστ παρὰ σοῦ ἐπιστολὴν ἐν ᾗ ἐσήμαινες πέμψαι τινὰ τῶν ἐμῶν, ὃς ἐπιγνώσεται τὸ ους το ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐκτιθέμενον κεφάλαιονκεφάλλαιον· εὐθέως οὖν Διογένην τὸν ἐμὸν φίλον ἔπεμψα πρός σε· σύνοιδα δὲ ἐμαυτῷἐματῷ καλῶς ὡς ἐπὶ τοῦ Ἀφροδιτοπολίτου ς ἀπούσης ὀφείλω οὐδὲ ἕν· σὺ δὲ φίλτατε ἐρωτηθεὶς γράφε ἡμῖνἡμεῖν ὑπὲρ ὧν ἂνἐὰν αἱρῆις παντὸς τοῦ κατὰ δύνα μιν ἐσομένου· ὀρθῶς δὲ χρήσῃ τὸν Διογένην μοι ταχύτερον ἀπολύσας· δια το προσδέομαι γὰρ αὐτοῦ ἐνταῦθα διὰ τὸν τῆς συγκομιδῆς τῶν γενημάτων καιρόν· ἀόκνωςνως οὖν ἐπίστελλεεπιτασἐπίτασστειλε ἵνα καὶ αὐτὸςκαὐτὸς δύνωμαι γράφειν ἡμῖνἡμεῖν.
