From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Memorial stela of Nu, c. 1500 BC. A Bicentennial gift from Egypt, this stone slab from Heliopolis depicts the deceased, his wife and their three sons. The hieroglyphics at the top reveal that Nu's eldest son commissioned the monument to ensure his father's name was always remembered. | 31 Jul 2020 | 1
