Ἡρακλα φρου μεμέτρημαι ἀπὸ τῶν γενημάτων τοῦ δ ἔτους μοναρτάβου κἀρτάβας κριθῆς Καρανίδος Χαιρήμων Σωκράτους πυροῦ ἀρτάβας μέτρῳ δημοσίῳ ἔπαιτον ἀρτάβας εἴκοσι ἐννέα , εἰκοστῆς μίαν ἥμισυ ὁ αὐτὸςα ἰδιοκτήτου ἓξ δ, εἰκοστῆς δκδ γίνονται τοῦ συμβόλου πυροῦ ἀρτάβαι λζ

Im 5. Jahr des Caius Caesar Imperator Augustus, am 26. des Monats Sotêr. Ich, Hêraklas (?), Sohn des phros, habe zugemessen bekommen von den Erträgen des 4. Jahres für die Ein-Artaben-Abgabe von Karanis: Chairêmôn, Sohn des Sôkratês, an Artaben Weizen mit dem gestrichenen staatlichen Maß epaiton neunundzwanzig Artaben , für die Zwanzigstel-Abgabe eineinhalb. Derselbe für die (Abgabe auf) idioktêtos sechs 1/4, für die Zwanzigstel-Abgabe 1/4 , das sind zusammen 37 Artaben Weizen.

I, Heraklas, son of phros, have had measured to me from the produce of year 4 for the dues on (land) at one artaba of Karanis: Chairemon, son of Sokrates by levelled public measure epaiton twenty nine artabas of wheat, for the tax of a twentieth one and a half; the same person for the dues on idioktetos (land) six 1/4, for the tax of a twentieth 1/4 = for the receipt 37 artabas of wheat.
