Ἰσιδώρῳ βασιλικῷ γραμματεῖ Ἀρσινοίτου Θεμίστου μερίδος παρὰ Σωτέλους τοῦ Ἰωσήπου τοῦ Θεομνᾶτος μητρὸς Ἐρωτίου ἀπὸ κώμης Ἀπολλωνιάδος ὁ υἱός μου Ἰώσηπος μητρὸς Σάρρας ἀφῆλιξ μήπω κατα λήξας εἰς λαογραφίαν ἐτελεύ τησε τῷ Τῦβι μηνὶ τοῦ ἐνεσ τῶτος τετάρτου ἔτους Τραιανοῦ Καίσαρος τοῦ κυρίου. διὸ ἀξιῶ ταγῆναι αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς τετελευτηκόσι. τῶι κωμογραμματεῖ. εἰ ἐτελεύτησε, ἀναγραψάμενοςἀναγραψάμενον μετὰ χειρογραφίας προσφώνησονπροσφωνεῖν ὡς καθήκει. ἔτους δ Αὐτοκράτορος Καίσαρος Νέρουα Τραιανοῦ Σεβαστοῦ Γερμανικοῦ Μεχεὶρ ιζ Σωτέλης Ἰω σήπου ὁ προγε γραμμένοςπρωγεγραμένος ὀμ νύωὠμνύω Αὐτοκράτο ρα Καίσαρα Νέρουα Τραιανὸν ΣεβαστόνTranslations (2)
An Isidô[ros, den Königlichen] Schreiber des Hêrakleidês-Bezirks des Arsinoïtês, von Sôtelês, Sohn des Iôsêpos, des Sohnes des Theomnas, und der Mutter Erôtion, aus dem Dorf [A]pollônias. Mein Sohn I[ôs]êpos, Sohn der Sarra, minderjährig, noch nicht ausgeschieden (aus der Gruppe der Minderjährigen und überführt) zur Kopfsteuer , ist gestorben im Monat Tybi des gegenwärtigen vierten Jahres des Traianus Caesar, des Herren. Hiermit bitte ich darum, daß er unter die Verstorbenen aufgenommen wird. (2. Hand) An den Dorfschreiber . Wenn er gestorben ist, dann registriere (ihn) und gib (darüber) eine eidliche handschriftliche Erklärung ab, wie üblich. Im 4. Jahr des Imperator Caesar Nerva Traian[us] Augustus Germanicus am 16. Mecheir. (3. Hand) Ich, der oben genannte Sôtelês, Sohn des Iôsêpos, schwöre beim Imperator Caesa[r Nerva] Traian[us Optimus] Augustus [Germanicus]
To Isido[ros], royal scribe of the Arsinoite nome, Themistos division, from Soteles, son of Josepos, the son of Theomnas, mother Erotion, from the village of Apollonias. My son J[os]epos, mother Sarra, a minor, who had not yet ceased (to be a minor) with respect to the poll-tax , died in the month of Tybi of the present fourth year of Traianus Caesar, the lord. Therefore I request that he is included amongst those, who have died . (m. 2) To the village scribe . If he died, register him and make a report with a written sworn statement , as usual. Year 4 of Imperator Caesar Nerva Traianus Augustus Germanicus, Mecheir 16 .
