Mecheir, in Dionysias bei den Kupferminen im Themistos-Bezirk des Arsinoïtischen Gaues . Didymê, Tochter des Petesûchos, des Sohnes des Papûs, aus dem Dorf Dionysias, ungefähr fünfzig Jahre (alt), ohne Kennzeichen, mit ihrem Mann Anchorimphis, Sohn des Papûs, ungefähr sechzig Jahre (alt), Narbe am am ersten Finger der linken Hand, als Vormund , bestätigt Harpagathês, ungefähr sechzig Jahre (alt), Narbe an der rechen Augenbraue, und Satabû[s, ungefähr] fünfzig Jahre (alt), Narbe am linken Unterarm, beide Söhne des Satabûs, Sohn des Harpagathês, aus dem Dorf Soknopai[û Nê]sos im Hêrakleidês-Bezirk, daß sie, die bestätigende Didymê, verkauft hat an Harpagathês und Satabûs, gemeinsam zu [gleichen Teilen], von jetzt an auf Dauer, die ihr, Didymê, gehörende Kamelstute – eine, ausgewachsen, weiblich, schwarz, markiert auf dem rechten Schenkel Thêta Ei und Ny Êta und auf der rechten Kinnlade Kak Lal Alpha –, die Har[paga]thês und Satabûs als so, wie sie (jetzt) beschaffen ist, nicht zurückzugeben empfangen haben von den Kamelen, die Didymê in der Kamelliste für das Dorf Dionysias hat , und daß Didymê unverzüglich erhalten hat von Harpagathês und Satabûs gemeinsam den für die Kamelstute vereinbarten Kaufpreis in Höhe von achthundert Silberdrachmen , und daß Didymê die Garantie in jeder Form übernehmen wird , wobei diese ( sc. die Kamelstute) auch frei ist von staatlichen Abgaben bis zum gegenwärtigen fünfzehnten Jahr und (einschließlich) dieses (Jahres). Und es ist notwendig, daß Harpagathês und Satabûs diese ( sc. die Kamelstute) melden bei der Kamelmeldung des kommenden sechzehnten Jahres auf ihre Namen im Dorf Sokn[opaiû] Nêsos und daß sie die staatlichen Abgaben für diese ( sc. die Kamelstute) für das sechzehnte Jahr aufbringen . Unterzeichner derselben Didymê: der oben genannte Anchorimphis, der anderen: Harpa[gathês] . (2. Hand) Ich, Didymê, Tochter des Petesûchos, des Sohnes des Papûs, mit meinem Mann Anchorimphis, Sohn des Papûs, als Vormund , bestätige, daß ich verkauft habe dem Harpagathês und Satabûs gemeinsam die oben erwähnte Kamelstute – eine, ausgewachsen, weiblich, schwarz, markiert auf dem rechten Schenkel ΘΕ und ΝΕ und auf der rechten Kinnlade ΚΛΑ –, als so, wie sie (jetzt) beschaffen ist, nicht zurückzugeben , und ich habe erhalten den Kaufpreis in Höhe von achthundert Silberdrachmen und ich werde die Garantie übernehmen , wie voransteht. Year fifteen of Imperator Caesar [Titus] Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Augustus Pius, in the month of Xandikos 24, Mecheir 24 in Dionysias next to the Copper Mines, Themistos division of the Arsin[oite] nome. Didyme, daughter of Petesuchos, the son of Papous [from] the village of Dionysias, about fifty years old, without a distinguishing mark, with her guardian , her husband, Anchorimphis, son of Papous, about sixty years old, with a scar on the first finger of his left hand, acknowledges to Harpaga[thes], about sixty years old, with a scar on his right eyebrow, and to Satabou[s], about fifty years old, with a scar on his left thigh, both of them sons of Satabous, the son of Harpagathes from the village of Soknopai[ou Ne]sos , Herakleides division, that she, the acknowledging party Didyme, has sold to Harpagathes and Satabous jointly in [equal shares] from now for ever the one fully grown female camel belonging to this very Didyme, which is black and branded on the right haunch with Theta Ei and Ny Eta and on the left jaw with Kak Lal Alpha , which Har[paga]thes and Satabous have received on the spot, just as it is, unreturnable , from the camels [which] Didyme has in the register of camels for the village of Dionysias, and that Didyme has received forthwith from Harpagathes and Satabous jointly, the price agreed upon for the camels, eight hundred silver drachmas and that Didyme will guarantee with every guarantee and free from state taxes on it up to and including the present year thirteen. And it is necessary that Harpagathes and Satabous register it in the register of camels of the coming year sixteen in their name for the village of Sokn[opaiou] Nesos and that they will pay the state taxes on it from year sixteen. Signatories of the same Didyme, the above mentioned Anchorimphis; of the others, Harpa[gathes] . (m. 2) I, Didyme, daughter of Petesuchos, the son of Papous with my guardian , my husband, Anchorimphis, son of Papous, acknowledge that I have sold to Harpagathes and Satabous jointly the above mentioned one fully grown female camel, which is black and branded on its right haunch ΘΕ and ΝΕ and on its right jaw ΚΛΑ on the spot, just as it is, unreturnable and I have received the price, eight hundred silver drachmas , and I shall guarantee as aforesaid . I, Anchorimph[is], wrote on her behalf because she does not know letters.
