The 7th year of Imperator Caesar Domitianus Augustus Germanicus, Pharmouthi 9th, at Tebtunis in the Polemon district of the Arsinoite nome. Chairemon, son of Harmiysis, aged about 47 years, having a scar on the left wrist, and his son Orsenouphis, aged about 21 years, having a scar in the left corner of the eye, both of them Persians of the epigone, and Chairemon’s wife, Tepheros, daughter of Orsenouphis, Persian woman, aged about 40 years, having a scar on the left brow, with assistance of her husband Chairemon, all of them being mutual security for payment, acknowledge to Lysimachos, son of Didymos, aged about 35 years, having a scar on the left brow, that they have received from him, Lysimachos, on deposit from hand to hand out of his house, a capital sum of 36 silver drachmae; and the acknowledging persons are bound to repay to Lysimachos the 36 silver drachmae given on deposit, whenever Lysimachos chooses, without any delay of subterfuge, Lysimachos having the right of execution on the acknowledging persons and on each of them, man or woman, whomsoever he chooses, and on all their property as if in accordance with a legal decision. The signatory for the son Orsenouphis is Ischryion, son of Achilleus, aged about 48 years, having a scar on the left side of the chin. (Signatures of Chairemon, who acts also on behalf of his wife, and of Ischyrion). The acknowledgment has been made to me, Lysimachos, as stated above.
