Description

Mosaic eye amulet: a lozenge-shaped human eye in mosaic glass fused (anciently) to opaque dark-blue glass plaque. The eye is in realistic style with a white and light-and dark-blue pupil on an opaque white field. At each end of the white field is a red dot. In turn this area is enclosed by a yellow border with brown lashes. Not pierced and so perhaps intended as an amuletic inlay.
