Description

Linen fragments (5). Second Intermediate Period–Early New Kingdom, Dynasty 17–18, ca. 1580–1479 B.C. Linen. A: L. 10 × W. 10 cm (3 15/16 × 3 15/16 in.); B: L. 17 × W. 5 cm (6 11/16 × 1 15/16 in.); C: L. 13 × W. 5 cm (5 1/8 × 1 15/16 in.); D: L. 12 × W. 7 cm (4 3/4 × 2 3/4 in.); E: L. 15 × W. 7 cm (5 7/8 × 2 3/4 in.). Probably from: First Royal Cache (TT 320), Valleys south of Deir el-Bahri, Valley of the Cachette, Upper Egypt, Thebes. Excavation: Egyptian Antiquities Service/Maspero excavations, 1881.
