New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, reign of Amenhotep I, ca. 1525–1504 B.C. Pottery. Preserved L. 19.8 cm (7 13/16 in.); Diam. 7.4 cm (2 15/16 in.). From: 17-18th Dynasty Cemetery, near tombs 2 & 5 and radim, Asasif, Upper Egypt, Thebes, Egypt. Excavation: MMA excavations, 1912–13. Subject: Hieroglyphs. Credit: Rogers Fund and Edward S.
