Fragment of a letter from Dionysios to Artemidoros

Dionysios informs Artemidoros that he is sending down two carpets by Kriton's boat, one of them weighing fifty and the other forty minae and both of them purple-bordered. He is also sending the old carpet which he has unloosed and partly rewoven.

Διονύσιος Ἀρτεμιδώρωι χαίρειν. ἐμβέβλημαι Κρίτωνι καταγαγεῖν σοι ἀμφιτάπους περιπορ φύρους β, ὧν α μνῶν ν, ἄλλος μνῶν μ. προσενεβαλόμεθα δὲ καὶ τὸν παλαιὸν ἀμφί ταπον, ὃν ἐξ ἀρχῆς ἀνα λύσαντες ὑφάναμεν προσεμβαλόντες στή μονα καινὸν διυφήν. καλῶς ἂν οὖν ποιήσαις Ἀρτεμιδώρωι.
