‘To Ision and the other nine superintendents of the lease of the dyeing monopoly, from Heron son of Herodes son of Theogiton, of the quarter of the temple of Sekneptunis. I wish to be granted by you the control of the weaving in the village of Archelais for the present 13th year only of Aurelius Antoninus Caesar the lord at a total yearly rent of 300 silver drachmae which I will pay in equal monthly instalments, the fiscal charges payable for other accounts falling upon me the lessee, if you consent to the concession.
