Text with a power of attorney from Panopolis (modern name: Akhmim), Egypt, written on papyrus. Aurelius Ammon son of Petearbeschinis, the well-known scholastikos or lawyer, from Panopolis authorizes with this power of attorney his friend Aurelius Faustinos, former magistrate and councillor, of Panopolis to represent him in Alexandria while he is engaged in getting his land sown. The slaves formally owned by his deceased brother Harpokration have been claimed by someone in Alexandria. Ammon wants Faustinus to inform Flavius Nestorius, the praefectus Aegypti or prefect of Egypt, that Ammon is his brother's sole heir.
